Obituary:
Phyllis Hevener, 72, passed gracefully to her heavenly home on November 11, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

She and her surviving twin brother, Phillip, were born to George and Edith Clark in Exeter, California on November 17, 1947. Phyllis graduated from Exeter High School in 1965 and soon after married the love of her life, Dale Hevener at Farmersville Free Holiness Church on November 23, 1965.

As a proud homemaker, Phyllis sowed a Christ-like love into every facet of her home. Her children and grandchildren adored her and depended on her ability to bring the family together. She was known outside her home, throughout the community as a joyful spirit— she made friends wherever she went.

Phyllis was a founding member of Calvary Holiness Church in Farmersville in 1975 and Echo Church in Visalia in 2019. For many years she served as the custodian in her church— cleaning and praying over every part of the house of God. Serving her church family was a labor of love for Phyllis; she especially loved serving in the church kitchen. Whenever the church doors were open, that was where she wanted to be.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Dale W. Hevener, her son, Curtis Hevener (Lily Hevener), her daughter, Kristen White; Her grandchildren, Cheryl Anderson (Tim Anderson), Tyler Hevener, Alysa Hevener, Samuel White, and Roy White Jr.; her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Anderson; her twin brother, Phillip Clark; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Sease; her sister, Geraldine Farris and her brother George Clark.

There will be a celebration of life service for Phyllis on Friday, November 20, at Echo Church, 311 West Center Avenue in Visalia at 6:00 p.m. The service will be live-streamed online via Facebook at www.echovisalia.com/live
