Visitation will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 9:00 am at Visalia Public Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at New Life Church, 1905 East Noble Ave, Visalia.
Pastor Arthur B. Swift was born in Wasco, CA on September 27, 1939 to William V. and Ellen B. (Ballard) Swift. He passed away in Visalia, CA on March 30, 2021 at the age of 81. He was a resident of Farmersville since August of 1976.
Art married Judy Barnes on November 28, 1959 in San Jose, California. He graduated from the Pentecostal Bible College (PBC) in 1962. He pastored the Pentecostal Church of God, Florence OR, 1962-1967; Pentecostal Church of God, Corcoran CA, 1967-1970; the Pentecostal Church of God, Merced CA, 1970-1976; then the Pentecostal Church of God, Farmersville CA, 1976 until his passing. He was the Central California District, Sequoia Section Presbyter for the Pentecostal Church of God from 1977 to 2011. Art enjoyed golfing and fishing. He particularly enjoyed being the “Snack Shack Cook” for the youth of the Pentecostal Young Peoples Association (PYPA). Art is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Georgia Graves, Louis King and Robert Swift.
Art is survived by his wife, Judy Swift of Farmersville, CA; his children Rawland Swift and wife Kimberlee of Queen Creek, AZ and Janice Gallian and husband Donny of Watford City ND; siblings Imagene Washburn, Larry Swift, David Swift and Ruth Sullivan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Davene Swift-Adams, Tiffani Swift-Owens, Trevor Gallian and Alyssa Gallian as well as his great grandchildren Blake Delaney, Trent Adams, Sawyer Adams and Brynn Honeycutt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 9:00 am at the Visalia Public Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at the Visalia New Life Church, 1905 East Noble Avenue, Visalia at 11:00 am.
