James Avery Thompson - age: 95
(January 20, 1926 to April 01, 2021 ) Resident of Visalia, California Visitation Information: A Graveside service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the Visalia Public Cemetery. Obituary: James Avery Thompson, known by all as Avery, passed away at the age of 95 on April 1, 2021. He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on January 20, 1926. He was a veteran of WWII and was proud of his service to his country, serving as a Seaman 1st class in the Navy 1944 to 1946. His wife of 71 years, Marilyn, preceded him in death in 2015. He is survived by daughters Sharon Moran and Pamela Loop of Visalia. He had 4 grandchildren, Lisa Pallesen of Carmichael, Sarah Allred of Sacramento, Jason Loop of Mt. Vernon, Washington, and Dawn Griffin of Ritzville, Washington. He also had 10 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service is at noon on May 7 at the Visalia Cemetery.
