Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Exeter District Cemetery.

Obituary:
James H. Martin was born on November 3, 1924 in Indianola, OK to Emma and John Martin. He served in the US Army in 1945 and 1946. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal. James was a member of the Coalinga Eagles Lodge and long time Coach for the Bobby Sox Adult League. He loved his Oakland A’s and followed them in good times and bad. James is preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Martin, brothers Warren, Earl, Carl, Larry, Ray and his sister Louise Mayfield.
James is survived by two sons, Jerry Martin of Farmersville and Jimmie Martin of La Canada; three daughters, Diane Terranova of Coalinga, Janice Clem of Fresno and Sandra Earls of Coalinga; two brothers Dub Martin of Atwater and Darrel Martin of Sun City AZ; two sisters, Joanne Robertson of Texas and Doris Simmons of Tulare. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

My heart is filled with sadness over the loss of a wonderful man. Uncle Harold will always be remembered as the loving, caring, funny man I came to know. I am blessed to have been a part of his family. I will miss that beautiful smile that is a trait of the Martin men.

Sorry for your loss, don't know quite what to say. I remember when I started working in the oil fields with Harold, he was a father figure for me.
