Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Graveside Service will be held on Friday July 15, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Exeter District Cemetery

Obituary:
Donald was born April 30, 1940 at St. Frances Hospital of Wichita Kansas, in Sedgwick County. In 1944 Donald along with his father Ike Orson Grim and mother Lotus Lavon Potter and his 7 brothers and sisters moved to Exeter California. Just a few short years later Donald’s youngest brother was born making the family complete with 9 children. 28 years later there in California Donald met Mary Elvia Chavira and in January of 1972 they were wed in Las Vegas Nevada. Throughout the coming years Donald and his wife lived and raised their five children sharing his love for the outdoors. One of the most memorable experiences remembered by the whole family where the camping, fishing, and hunting trips. Donald also worked for Early California Foods, for 35 years and he went on to work at L. G. Bless Trucking and Contractors after which he retired. Donald lived out his remaining days with his wife at their Exeter residence accompanied by his youngest daughter and her three children for a short while. On occasion Donald would still enjoy fishing and hunting trips with his two sons, and he kept in touch with his other children that resided out of state through brief phone calls or messages. Donald passed peacefully at his residence on July 2, 2022. Donald is survived by his beautiful wife Mary Elvia Grim and his children Son Cole Gustavo Grim of Farmersville, CA, Son Cody Dale Grim of Exeter, CA, Daughter Noreen Renota & (Robert) Thompson, Creston Washington, Daughter Stephaine Iris & (Jorge) Bedoya Garcia, Everton MO, and Daughter Elvia Danette Marez of Exeter, CA. His Brother Leonard Grim of Exeter, CA and Brother Jerry Grim of Visalia, CA and 9 Grandchildren, and 20 Nieces and Nephews. Donald is preceded by his Parents Ike Orson Grim and Mother Lotus Lavon Potter. Brother Isaac Grim, Brother Albert Grim, Brother Vinton Grim, Sister Betty Sharp, Sister Frances Dillon, and Sister Susan Montgomery. Donald was part of many clubs and organizations like NRA, Teamsters Union, Support Member of National Foundation of Disabled Veterans, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Honorary Member of Paralyzed Veterans of America.
