Obituary:
Cletus Brisco was born October 17, 1952 in Exeter CA. to Cleo and Bernice Brisco. He grew up in Exeter and attended Exeter High. He graduated high school in 1970 and attended Bakersfield College. He joined the Exeter police department as a Reserve 1 Officer in 1973 and continued through 1987. During the same time, he worked at Butler Mfg. from 1971-2005 in various positions. He retired from Butler after 34 years and then took a position with the Tulare Co. Sheriff’s Department as a crew leader for the farm at the Tulare County Correctional Center. He was also a member of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Posse from 1995 to present.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynn Brisco as well as four sisters Juanita Walker, Shirley Elrod, Bobbie Ward and Jackie Harris. Cletus was a devoted husband, brother and a friend to all he met. He was known for his dry sense of humor and his joy of teasing. He loved to make people laugh.
Cletus was an avid fisherman and entered many tournaments where he won a number of awards. He loved to hunt and a number of times filled up the freezer with venison. Cletus and Lynn did a lot of motor cycling over the years. They also enjoyed many camping trips near and far. They were often accompanied by Cletus’ sisters and husbands.
He was loved by wife, family, friends and co-workers, and most especially by his dogs Bear and Lacey. Cletus will be greatly missed by all!
