A visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009, 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel with Funeral Services held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the chapel. Burial will be in the Exeter Public Cemetery District.

Obituary:
Harold William Palmer was born to George B. and Edna Palmer on April 1, 1924 in Texarkana, Arkansas and passed away September 30, 2009 at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his brother, George Grady and Freeman Edward Palmer and sister Yvonne Margaret Welch. He is survived by three sisters, Mae Anderson of Visalia, Lois McGee of Woodlake and Cora Lee Cook of Clovis, three children, Judy Rowe of Visalia, Eileen Lake of Crescent City and John Palmer of Bakersfield. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Harold served in WWII from 1942 to 1946 at the tender age of 17. He was a Navel 1st Class Gunner. After 1946 he served in the reserves until 1952. He served on the USS Saratoga before it went down. For the majority of his life he was a truck driver for Sequoia National Park. Harold loved dancing, especially the jitterbug, country music and going to the rodeo in Woodlake. He also enjoyed western movies, especially those with John Wayne. Harold was an old car enthusiast and will be missed by all.
