Visitation Information:
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Burial will be in the Exeter District Cemetery.

Obituary:
Glenn “Doc” King was born June 13, 1924 in Lamar, Oklahoma. He passed away September 13, 2013 at the age of 89. He went peacefully in his sleep in the home he built with his children and grandchildren by his side.
He first came to Exeter when he was 16 with his father and worked in the fields for the summer. He returned to Oklahoma and enlisted in the Marines when he was 18. He served in the Marshall Islands and his boat was hit by a Kamikaze pilot. He was also at Hiroshima after the atomic bomb hit. He returned to Exeter to live when he was discharged from the services in 1945. Doc married Burnell Heaston in 1950. He became a cement finisher and poured many of the curbs and gutters, driveways and patios in Exeter. Dad would always lend a helping hand to people. He was a good Father, Husband, Grandfather and Friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife Burnell, his step children Donald and Donna Baker, his grandchildren Donnell and Kevin King, his parents Bunk and Trudy King, brothers Alton and Gerald, sisters Lucille, Joe and Ruth.
Doc is survived by his children, David, Glenna, Geneva and Daryl; his grandchildren Matt, Melanie, Nick and Waylon; Brothers Donnie and Cecil; and his Sisters Lois and Nancy.
