Obituary:
Frances Angelina Bennett, 95, of Visalia, CA passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was born the late Albert and Agnes Villard on October 13, 1918 in Delano CA.
Frances married Leonard Bennett on October 1, 1944 and they lived together in Tulare were they owned the Buena Vista Market until their retirement in 1974. Following the death of her loving husband in 1975, Frances relocated to Stockton for 3 years, then to Three Rivers for 29 years, and then has lived in Visalia for the past 7 years.
Frances was an avid and gifted Bridge player, enjoyed traveling, golf, cheering on the Forty Niner’s and Giants, and treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her grandchildren will always remember her “Babysitting” prowess with mach fondness....oh, the memories!
Frances was preceded in death by five siblings: Virginia Smith, Ambrose, Albert, John and Daniel Villard. She is survived by her tow sons; Stephen (Christine) of Three Rivers and Douglas (Debrah) of Stockton and sisters: Katherine Bender of Tulare and Angela Price of Sedona, Arizona as well as her sister in law Dorothy Villard of Bakersfield. Frances was the cherished “Notna” to seven grandchildren: Kerrie Gostanian (Russell) of Visalia, Lisa Vawter (David) of Three Rivers, Stacie Sharar (Marcus of Modesto, Jeffrey Bennett (Paula) of Acampo, Michael Bennett (Sarah) of Granite Bay, Brooke McCollough (Matthew) of Lodi and Kevin Bennett of Stockton.
She was the adored “GG to thirteen great grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
