Chapel Services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel. Burial will follow in the Exeter Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held one prior to the service in the chapel.

Obituary:
Robert D. Sapien, 82 years old, of Farmersville California, passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 19, 2009.
He was born on July 1, 1927 and raised in Farmersville, CA, Robert graduated from Snowden School, he was married to his childhood sweetheart since first grade, Isabel Niz on November 12, 1950, and they were married 59 years. He spent three years in the Army and was stationed in Japan oversees.
He retired from Edwards Nursery, Visalia CA after 38 years of service in 1996. Robert was an avid baseball fan and played as a lead pitcher for the Farmersville Bears Baseball League (affiliated with Tim Sweeney). He also managed the Farmersville Baseball League for over 10 years. He is recognized as a good citizen and one of Farmersville’s old timers and until his death he walked around Farmersville for exercise on a daily basis, greeting people on his daily walks.
Robert was survived by his beloved wife, Isabel Niz 81 years old, a retired beauty operator, daughter, Dr. Rebecca Sapien-Melchor, Site Director, Southern Area International Languages Network, Stanford University/San Diego State University and her husband Jose Melchor and son, Robert Sapien, Jr. Air force Veteran and currently a high school teacher, Visalia Unified School District and his wife Terri Sapien, five Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. And sisters, Jenny Quijas, San Ysidro, CA and Mickey Torres, Hanford CA. He was beloved by his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel at 425 Kaweah Avenue, Exeter, California 93221, 559-592-5161.
