(December 10, 1937 to July 07, 2009 ) Resident of Lindsay, California Visitation Information: Funeral Services will be held at the Church of the Firstborn, 1076 West Gail Street, Tulare on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Tulare Public Cemetery. Obituary: Lloyd Dow Overacker Jr., 71, of Lindsay passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at his home. He was born in Exeter and attended Exeter High School. He was a member of the FFA. He married Ruby Darlene Stevens in Cushing, OK on July 12, 1958. The couple made their first home in Visalia, CA. Lloyd was self-employed for many years. In 1984, he started Lloyd Overacker & Sons Construction. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, visiting on the Word of God, spending time with his family and friends. Darlene passed away in 2000. He was a member of The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. On May 11, 2002, Lloyd married Judy D. Fitzjarrell. The couple made their home in Tulare. Lloyd is survived by 2 sisters: Gladys Murch of Stillwater, OK and Margie Brown of Sapulpa, OK; 4 children: Tanja Smith of Tahlequah, OK; Eric Overacker of Strathmore, CA; Tresa Carner of Strathmore, CA; and Mike Overacker of Tulare, CA. 5 step-children: Teresa Wright of Lindsay, CA; Arisha Hansen of Dexter, OR; Robyn Smith of Madera, CA; Kevin Fitzjarrell of Creswell, OR; and Kimberly Gully of Redding, CA. 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Many Nieces and Nephews.
