Ronald Eugene Cross - age: 77
(December 14, 1940 to June 25, 2018 ) Resident of Exeter, California Visitation Information: None Obituary: Ronald Eugene Cross, 77 of Exeter born December 14, 1940 to Corabelle and Lawrence Cross. Passed away June 25, 2018 after battling a long illness. He is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Cross and his mother Corabelle Filcher, sisters, Emogene Morgan, Pauline Childers and Francis Thompson, son Franklin (Frankie) Cross, granddaughter Jaydenn (JJ) Hansche and a grandson Ryan Brooks. He is survived by his companion of 44 years Pansy (Patty) Breeden, his daughters, Rebecca Reynolds of Virginia, Rhonda Cross Ferrell (Russell) of Florida, Rachael Cross of Oklahoma, Paula Salyer of CA and son Jerry Brooks of Florida, brother Wesley (Ruby) Cross of Arizona, sisters Jewel White of Missouri and June Cross of California, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ronald graduated from Exeter high school in 1959. He joined the military in 1960 and served in Berlin, Germany. He worked for Copeland Lumber for 25 years before retiring. Ronald’s favorite past time was reading. His collections consist of over 500 novels/books. He was a bit of a rebel and jokester all his life. He was passionate about animals and an avid Raiders fan. He will be missed by all that knew him. As was Ronald’s request there will be no official services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society
