Obituary:
Hiram David Rice was born in Coffeyville Kansas on September 10, 1929 to Cecil and Eugenia Rice. He passed away in Visalia, California on March 7, 2021 at the age of 91.
David graduated from Exeter Union High School and married LaVerna Fridley in Las Vegas Nevada on January 24, 1948. He worked for the County of Tulare as a Road Use Investigator for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite-Shriners.
David is preceded in death by his wife LaVerna, son Mitchell and siblings Mary, Paul and Nancy.
David is survived by his son Michael Rice, daughter in law Mary Rice, grandchildren Peter, Matthew, Jill and Casey and his sisters Janet and Lois. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

My Uncle David! He was brother to my Mom and oh what a wonderful Uncle he was. I cherish the many memories made as a child and adult whenever we had the opportunity to visit. He lived in California, we in Texas so visits weren't that often but one thing for sure, we made the most of it. My last memory made with him and Aunt Vern was at their house, in the back yard, me a grown woman in the top of his cherry tree making monkey sounds while eating the best cherries ever. RIP Uncle David
