The visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel (425 N. Kaweah Ave, Exeter, CA 93221) with the Rosary following at 6:00 pm at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Woodlake Public Cemetery (165 N. Cypress St, Woodlake, CA 93286)

Obituary:
Magdalena Benetiz Carretero, 96, of Woodlake, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 9, 2021. Magdalena was born in Zacoalco, Jalisco, Mexico on May 25, 1924. After living in the San Jose area, Magdalena moved to Woodlake in 1975. She was a tiny woman but very strong. She picked oranges into her late 60’s. Magdalena was preceded in death by her brother, Sebastian (Guadalupe) Carretero; her brother, Gregorio (Isabel) Carretero; and her nephew, Sebastian Carretero, Jr. Magdalena is survived by her nieces, Ana Carretero and Cuca (Sam) Atherton; her grandnieces and grandnephews, Vanessa, Juan, and Jessica (Ralph Padilla) Gomez Carretero; Michael, Melissa, and Michele Samaniego; Samantha and Nathan Atherton; and her great grandnephews Andru Gomez and KC Padilla. Magdalena enjoyed gardening and taking care of her pets. There wasn’t a kitten or puppy that didn’t get fed by our Tia.
