Obituary:
Grady Monroe Cass 85 Years of age passed away at home in Farmersville CA on Monday, June 14, 2021. Grady was born in Arkansas on December 28, 1935 to the parents of Henry and Nancy Cass. He had one sibling a sister named Gracie. They moved to Farmersville California when he was just a little boy. As he got older he met and married Shirley Baxter. They had four children named, Stanley, Clayton, Brady and Cheryl. They lived in Farmersville area until Grady and Shirley divorced in the 70’s. Grady moved to Hot Springs Arkansas where he remarried Wanda Everett. Grady lived in Hot Springs for many years before coming back to Farmersville in 2019. He came back to Farmersville to live with his children and family for the last few remaining years of his life. Grady is preceded in death by his first wife Shirley, his second wife Wanda, his daughter Cheryl Newell, his son Clayton Cass and his grandson Clayton (Spanky) Cass. Grady leaves behind two sons and daughter-in-law’s Stanley & wife Teresa Cass, Brady & wife Sheral Cass, seven grandchildren, Jarrod, Sady, Kelsey, Alesha, Stanley, Christa, Angela and many great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several step children and grandchildren who live in Arkansas who were a big part of Grady’s life during his time in Arkansas.
Grady was a loving, kind man who loved the outdoors. During his younger years he loved hunting and being outside. He drove 18 wheelers all his working life until he retired. Once he retired he worked on lawnmowers in his back yard. He enjoyed his life.
There were trips back and forth from Arkansas for him and his children for family visits. Some of the memories the grandchildren have, were wonderful times. He taught Christa how to shoot a gun in his back yard. Jarrod shot his first and only squirrel in his back yard. Kelsey remembers having her first cup of coffee with cream and sugar and going to the horse race track. Little Stanley remembers all the truck stories he told him and also taught him to shoot a gun. He taught Alesha how to bet on a horse at the race track. A funny memory is when Sady was a boy he thought his grandpa was alive when the dinosaurs where around and made Grady laugh. Big Stanley has fond memories of playing sick and skipping school to go in the truck with his dad and lots of hunting and fishing memories. Brady has a fond memory of these last month’s where he tried to get his dad to sing a song while he played the guitar. Grady would always laugh and say no he was not a singer. Then one day he surprised Brady when he no longer said no and began singing an old song for Brady.
There are many more memories but one we all remember is his nice smile and kind heart. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Tulare County Obituaries at https://www.facebook.com/groups/2072945459676292. Services entrusted to Evans Miller Guinn Chapel.
