Obituary:
Ronald Elwood Harris was called to the lord on June 18th, 2021 in Visalia, CA. Ron was born October 9th, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Carl and Floy (Wright) Harris. He graduated from Lindsay High School and enlisted in the Army when he was 17. While in the Army, Ron served in The Vietnam War. After his service he returned to Lindsay and later moved to Exeter, CA, where he met and married Mary Hamon and had two children, Ronnie and Rhonda. Ron later married Antoinette Sanchez. He worked at Copeland Lumber Yard in Exeter, CA and later managed it for years. He left Copland to work for Ron Hudspeth Construction and retired. Ron was known for his cabinetry and finishing. His interests included wood working, construction, playing pool, automobiles, hunting and fishing. He was always telling jokes and making friends, and family laugh. Ron loved to host family pool parties and poker nights with friends. He was a member of the Exeter Eagle's Club where he would play pool on the city team. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette (Sanchez) Harris, his daughter, Rhonda Nash, his son, Ronnie and his older brother Dale. His grandchildren include: Evan, Gavin, Easton and Gianna. He is preceded in death by Carl and Floy (Wright) Harris, and his sisters Gaye and Verbeth York. Ron spent his few remaining years in the care of Redwood Springs Healthcare Center. Funeral services for Ron will be conducted on July 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Exeter Cemetery with a reception to follow at Rocky Hill Community Church, Exeter CA.
