Obituary:
The Quiroz Family is saddened to announce that our family pillar, Bonnie Ramirez, 94-years-old, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, in Farmersville, California. Bonnie was born on June 5, 1927 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Lino and Porfiria Garcia. She was one of seven children to share the love of her parents—her sisters: Paola, Juanita, Josephina, Eulalia and her brothers: Sacramento and Julian.
Our family’s matriarch exhibited values and qualities that we all aspired to. Throughout her life she maintained a simple, yet loving demeanor that endeared her to the many lives she had the pleasure and honor to touch with her constant kindness, love, and faith in God. Her smile and laughter will never be forgotten and will sustain our family for all time. In the early 1940s, Bonnie met the love of her life, Quirino Ramirez. The couple married and remained in Corpus Christi, where they raised their only child, Carrie. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Bonnie faithfully cared and provided comfort to others for over forty years, as a cook at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Corpus Christi. A woman of faith and the heart of the Quiroz Family, we were all shaped spiritually by her tireless Catholic-led example.
Her surviving family members are numerous, but mainly include: Julian Garcia (brother), Eulalia Garza (sister), Carrie Quiroz (daughter) and John Quiroz (son-in-law), Grandchildren and spouses: John III and Noemi Quiroz of Visalia, California; Carrie and Jerry Gaytan of Visalia, California; Judy and Alcario Sosaya Jr. of Visalia, California; Bonnie Quiroz of Visalia, California; Genevieve Quiroz of Visalia, California; Belinda and Gerardo Gomez of Exeter, California; Lino and Marci Quiroz of Visalia, California; and Monica and Juan Arzola of Visalia, California. Bonnie was blessed with 25 great grandchildren and 23 great, great children.
Other family members: Unfortunately, Bonnie has too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and God-children to list or even count.
In lieu of flowers, the Quiroz Family asks that you engage in an act of loving selflessness and kindness in her memory, such as making someone laugh, give someone a hug, or saying a prayer for others.
