Clyde Arnold Smith - age: 88
(August 01, 1933 to September 01, 2021 ) Resident of Visaia, California Obituary: Clyde Arnold Smith was born in August 1933 to Vida and Clarence Smith. He passed away in September of 2021. Clyde graduated from Garden Grove High School and the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Clyde played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He enlisted in the US Marines and flew as a fighter pilot in the Korean War. Clyde married Judy Morris and was survived by Cheryl, Sharon and Randy. He was preceded in death by his son Dan. Clyde was a California Highway Patrolman for 20 years. He started Action Aviation, teaching ground school and Flight for 10 years while also being an airplane mechanic. He later married Alvina in 1981 and gained two stepsons, Fred and Jim. He joined the Visalia Moose Lodge in 1979 and went on to receive the highest degree of Pilgrim. He was honored with Man of the Year Internationally in 2005. Clyde retired from the Visalia School District in 1999. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
