Tomaza Alvarez Rivera - age: 78
(December 21, 1931 to August 31, 2010 ) Resident of Exeter, California Visitation Information: Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 9:00 AM followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM at New Life Assembly of God Church, 525 East Palm Street in Exeter. Burial will follow at the Exeter District Cemetery. Obituary: Tomaza was born in Mexico on December 21, 1931 to Francisca and Luciano Alvarez. She married David Castillo Rivera in Poway on May 8, 1954.She came to the Exeter area more than 30 years ago. She was a very social woman, always visiting the Farmersville Senior Citizens Center and her church, New Life Assembly of God in Exeter where she was member for many years. She loved to shop at the Pink Ladies Thrift Shop in Exeter. She is preceded in death by her husband, David in 2003. Tomaza is survived by two sons; Jesse Rivera of Exeter and Frank Rivera of Nipomo; two daughters, Rita Garcia of Exeter and Yolanda Rivera of Port Hueneme, CA; one brother Ruben Solano of Laguna Beach. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
