Bill Ray Patterson - age: 62
(February 07, 1960 to September 22, 2022 ) Resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma Visitation Information: A Celebration of Life for Billy Ray Patterson will be held on October 22, 2022 at noon at Hilltop Baptist Church at 44500 East MacArthur Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Obituary: Bill was born February 7, 1960 in Exeter, California to Bill and Pansy Patterson. He passed away on September 20, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma after a long battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his family. Bill attended Sequoyah Union Elementary School in Lemon Cove K-8 and graduated Exeter Union High School in 1978, where he excelled in sports, especially football. Bill was a US Navy Submarine Veteran. When he joined the Navy as a Marine, he then proudly served on the USS Bremerton SSN 698 Submarine from December 1984 to December 1987 as a Machinist Mate Second Class. He received a number of awards and metals: Navy Good Conduct, Navy "E" Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, .45 Cal Pistol Sharp Shooter, Submarine Service Insignia. He received an honorable discharge with Recommended for Reenlistment. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Bill Patterson and Pansy Smith Patterson, and one brother Robbie Patterson. He is survived by his wife Jeannie Mayberry Patterson, twin daughters Cheyanne Patterson and Lisa Patterson, one brother Trevor Patterson, 2 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 aunts, and many cousins, Shipmates, and friends! Bill was a happy, friendly guy. He was always willing to help those in need! You'll be greatly missed Love…until we meet again!
