Obituary:
Oma was born in Fannie Arkansas to Robert and Nellie Rowland on March 14, 1915. She was raised and attended schools there. She met and married Cole “Doc” Wilson in Fannie Arkansas on September 6, 1929. They moved to California in 1941 and settled in Farmersville. Doc passed away in 1975. Oma married Riley Merriott on December 5, 1980 in Farmersville. Riley passed away on January 6, 1992. Oma managed and owned the Farmersville Dry Cleaners until she retired after 17 years in the business.
Oma was a member of the East Side Tabernacle Church in Farmersville, the Rebekah Lodge Orange Blossom Chapter # 265 in Exeter and was a Past Grand Noble in 1953. Oma was a Loving Mother, Devoted Grandmother and a Special Aunt.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, two brothers Grover Rowland and Ruey Rowland, four sisters Zella Patton, Lena Harper, Hester Breshears, Ema Adamson, and one granddaughter Gayle Hale.
Oma is survived by two sons, Dale Wilson and wife Faye of Visalia, Arzell Wilson and wife Flo of Farmersville, two Grandchildren Roger Wilson of Fresno and Debbie Wilson of Exeter, 5 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care that was given to Oma by Dr. Owen, Dr. Fox, the staff of Redwood Springs Health Care Center and the staff of Kaweah Delta Medical Center 2 South.
