In Memoriam : Tishie Smith
Tishie O. Smith - age: 93
(September 16, 1917 to October 14, 2010 ) Resident of Farmersville, California Visitation Information: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Exeter District Cemetery. Obituary: Tishie was born on September 16, 1917 in Depew Oklahoma to Elige and Effie (Lane) Rosson. She attended schools there. On October 12, 1935 she married Allic Burl Smith. They came to California in 1951 and settled in Tulare and then moved to Farmersville in 1954. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Farmersville for many years. She loved her canning and her gardening. Mr. Smith passed away in May of 1986. She is preceded in death by her husband, one son Allic Earl Smith, one daughter Elcie Watson, one son-in-law Marvin Roach, two brothers C.T. Rosson and Onia Rosson and one sister Ina Wallace. Tishie is survived by four daughters, Myrtle Roach of Farmersville, Vernis Hollingsworth and husband Calvin of Nashoba OK, Mary Woodson and husband Wayne of Exeter, Ruth Ellen Hipp and husband Richard of Farmersville; one brother Arthur Rosson of Stillwater OK; 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
