Obituary:
Everett “JR” Franklin Webb, Jr., 69 of Exeter, passed away in his home on June 8th, 2023 with his beloved wife, Barbara, by his side after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Everett was born on Thursday, June 11, 1953, in Manilla, Arkansas to Everett and Freddie Webb who moved to Lindsey, CA while he was a baby. JR spent most of his life in Tulare County and graduated from Exeter High School in 1971 and attended College of the Sequoias on scholarship. If you knew JR, you knew he was great with his hands having rebuilt his first motor at age 16. He worked on a ranch with his father and later found himself in other roles as a truck driver, maintenance lead, welder, and fabricator. He loved camping and being in the mountains, even if it was to just take a drive. In his last few years, you would most often find him sitting on the deck while keeping watch over Avenue 256 with frequent passersby’s honking and waving with a familiar hello.
He was preceded in death by his Father Everett Webb Sr., Mother Freddie (Webb) Jonas, Stepdad Russell Leeper (Pop), Stepdad Larry Jonas, Sister Cathy Sue Webb, Niece Mandi Blake, Mother-In-Law Mary Anderson, Brother-In-Law James Coleman, and Sister Melodie Ann Webb.
JR is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara of Exeter, Sons Richard (Jessica) Webb of Prosper, Texas, and Joseph (Margo) Webb of Springfield, Virginia, Stepson Jacob (Kristie) Johnson of Windsor, California, and Stepdaughter Rebecca (Eric) Osorno of Windsor, California, 12 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Sister Debbie Coleman of Woodlake, California, Sister-In-Law Edna Hampton of Woodlake, California, Sister-In-Law Sharon Freitas of Petaluma, California, Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and great Nieces & Nephews.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
