James Edward Gandy - age: 73
(April 06, 1950 to October 02, 2023 ) Resident of Exeter, California Visitation Information: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 2-6 p.m. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Exeter District Cemetery. Obituary: “Simple Man” James Edward Gandy was born April, 6th 1950 in Tulare, ca. To Velva Jackson and Dewey Gandy. He was raised in Farmersville, ca. with his siblings, and has been a long-life time resident of Tulare County. As a child he loved to hang out with his friends and family at the four corners in Farmersville and loved to swim at the local swimming place. When he got the opportunity, he loved hanging out at Sequoia drive in theater. As a young man he was drafted in the Army and served in the Vietnam war. Before He left, he married and had a daughter Sabrina. Later, in Life had a son James with my mother Evelyn. He had many different jobs, he was a Farm Laborer, Went to school to be a Mechanic, went to school to become a union drywall hanger, and retired as a security guard, he considered himself a Jack Of all trades. He was a loving man and loved to socialize. He loved playing music for people to enjoy and as a boy was taught to play guitar by Brother Breeden. He is survived by his son James E. Gandy, Soon to be daughter in law Josefina Marquez, Sister Florance Riley, Sister Minnie Gandy, Grandchildren, Step Grandchildren, Step Children, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In 2011 moved to Exeter, were he lived his last years on his Ranch with his son and daughter in Law and many loved animals. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch and taking his morning drives in “Betsy” to the donut shop, and on Occasion going to the Eagles Nest to play cards.
