Melvin Ennis - age: 81
(July 13, 1942 to February 01, 2024 ) Resident of Visalia, California Visitation Information: Graveside Service will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Exeter District Cemetery. Obituary: Melvin Ennis (Toot) (Tootsie), 81 of Visalia, Graduated to heaven Thursday February 1st, 2024 in Visalia with family by his side. Melvin was born on July 13, 1942 in Exeter to Dail and Mollie Mae (Cass) Ennis and was raise in Farmersville. He married Dora Jane Potter on October 7, 1961 and was married for 62 years. He was employed by Kaweah Delta Water Conservation District for nearly 40 years. He started as a water jockey and quickly moved to heavy equipment operator and then being promoted to Superintendent. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed running his tractor business throughout the year. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Charles Ennis. He is survived by his wife, Dora Jane Ennis, children Adam Brent (Judy) Ennis of Visalia and Audra Aileen Scrimshire (Rick) of Visalia; his grandchildren Brent Lee Ennis (Sarah) and Wyatt Dean Scrimshire; great grandchildren Autumn Ennis arriving in May. He is also survived by his siblings Sylvia Parker of Visalia, Brenda Baker of Exeter and Stepsister Maxine Parker of Cove Oregon, as well as several nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Exeter District Cemetery.
