Obituary:
Marjorie (Marge) Norgard, 89 loving mother, gram and friend passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2024. Marge was born on March 4th, 1935 to Hugh and Flora Smith. Marge grew up in San Pedro, CA. She met her late husband, Stan Norgard Sr., and they were married on August 18t, 1963. For many years they called Orange County, CA home but after countless trips to Three Rivers, Marge and Stan Sr. decided to build a home and make the move to Three Rivers where she has called home for the last 39 years. Throughout her life, Marge was known best for being compassionate, protective, selfless, wise and patient. In her free time she enjoyed being outdoors, feeding her birds, squirrels, racoons and cats, traveling and watching any and every sport. Marge was a woman of extraordinary warmth and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a friend in the truest sense of the word, offering a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and a compassionate heart to all who crossed her path. Her unwavering presence and support were a source of strength to those fortunate enough to call her a friend. Family was the cornerstone of Marge’s life. She was a devoted spouse to the late Stan Norgard Sr for 27 years. As a mother, she was nurturing, patient, and endlessly supportive. Her grandkids were the light of her life and she doted on them with boundless affection and joy. She leaves behind her children, son Stan and his wife Melissa, daughter Susan and her husband Jeff, grandchildren Max and Kole Norgard and Erin, Garrett and Kelsey Gibbs, who will always cherish the memories they shared with her. Special friend Carl and many longtime friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Stan, Sr, her mother and father, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law. Marge will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and wisdom touched the lives of many. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved. A memorial service to celebrate Marge's life will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 11 AM at the Community Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort for Quilts, a cause that was dear to her heart. Marge will forever remain in our hearts as a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend.
