Luis was married to Erika De Los Santos Garcia, on June 23, 2006. They met each other at the perfect time when both were struggling through different challenges in life. They were engaged for 4 years and were married for 18 years. They created a beautiful family with 4 children.
Luis worked as a material warehouse handler and forklift operator for International Paper, now known as Graphic Packaging Incorporated, for 24 years. He enjoyed gardening, nature, and bicycling. He was also a devoted Catholic, actively involved with the Knights of Columbus and Consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Luis is preceded in death by Antonio Garcia Pelagio, Jorge Garcia Pelagio and Zacarias Garcia Olivo.
The family of Jose Luis Garcia Pelagio thanks Evans Miller Guinn Chapel, Father Alex and all family and friends including Graphic Packaging Incorporated who have helped with ease his passing.

Luis is my next door neighbor, theirs is the nicest family, my grandson Weston plays with their son when he is at our house. Our thoughts, prayers for comfort for the family and friends while they work through this very tough loss and long journey they have been on. Luis, I will miss your waves and quick chats in the yard, especially us cutting out trees back. Blessings to your family.
