Donald McRay Walker - age: 93
(September 21, 1930 to August 09, 2024 ) Resident of Tulare, California Visitation Information: Graveside Service will take place on Monday, August, 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Tulare Cemetery at 900 E Kern Ave, Tulare, CA 93274. Obituary: Donald (Don) McRay Walker, 93, of Tulare, California passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 in Tulare, California, surrounded by his loving family. Don was born in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas on September 21, 1930 to Lester Herbert Walker and Minnie Sphronia Pruitt Walker. He was raised and educated in Arkansas. Don moved to Tulare, California in 1979. He met and married Mary Ellen Wright in a little chapel on Tulare Avenue in Visalia. They made their home in Tulare for 62 years. Mary preceded him in death in November of 2022. Don worked as a handyman doing odd jobs until receiving his contractor’s license. He continued to do remodeling, repairs and other odd jobs. Don loved to go fishing with his family throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his sisters Kathleen and Evelyn, Frances and Dorothy; his mother and father Lester and Minnie. Don is survived by his children, Tamara Ellen Walker and husband, Roger and Danny McRay Walker, all of Tulare, CA. Also surviving him is his grandson Joshua Allen Moore of Tulare, CA and his daughter, Leila Elisha Moore of San Diego and granddaughter Maryellen Deneѐ Macias and husband, Angel and their daughter Olivia Ellen Walker, all of Tulare. Nephew Michael Womack of Bakersfield, CA and niece Theresa Womack of Virginia, and niece Jackie Womack of Missouri, step granddaughters Marissa of Texas and Danielle of Clovis, CA survive him. Graveside Service will take place on Monday, August, 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Tulare Cemetery at 900 E Kern Ave, Tulare, CA 93274.
