A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Echo Church, 311 West Center Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291 with a reception to follow. He will be laid to rest with his mother in the Exeter District Cemetery on Monday, December 9. 2024 at 10:00 am.
Obituary:
Raymond Cruz Gonzales of Porterville CA was born on July 3, 1966 in Riverside CA to Luz and Margaret (Montalvo) Gonzales. He passed away on November 3, 2024 in Lindsay CA from a tragic car accident. He was 58 years old. He grew up in Casa Blanca CA where he had many friends. Raymond received his GED. He was employed as a laborer in several packing houses in the area. One of his hobbies was tattoos. He was the family tattoo artist. HE loved dogs who he considered “Mans Best Friend” and enjoyed drawing and listening to “Old School Funk”, He also loved fishing, working on cars and going to the casino. He is preceded in death by his father Luz R. Gonzales in 1998, his mother Margaret Montalvo in October 2022 and his baby sister Lucy Ortega in December 2022. Raymond is survived by his sister and brother in law Sandra and Robert Torres of Visalia, sister and brother in law Geraldine and Jorge Ruelas of Porterville and many nephews and nieces. Special mention of his cousin Louie Terrones who was also taken that day in the accident. “Rest in Peace Road Dog forever”. He loved and is survived by his dogs, Chiqueta, Fatso, Scruffy and BJ.
