Obituary:
Lucas Lupe Flores – Age 46
April 8, 1978-December 2, 2024
Lucas Lupe Flores, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at Fresno Community Hospital on Monday, December 2, 2024, after a long illness. Lucas was a long time resident of Fresno, CA. where he raised his children and worked in retail sales. He was born on April 8, 1978, the son of Lupe and Delighte Flores. He is survived by his two sons, Zarias and Zayne Flores, of Fresno; his parents Lupe and Delighte Flores, of Farmersville; grandmother Estella Estrada, of Mexico; brothers and sisters Paulette Reynosa and her husband Joey, of Farmerville, CA; William and Maureen Layton, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Jacqueline Fazekas and her husband, Bob, of Steilacoom, Washington; Joshua Flores and his wife, Jenny, of Visalia; Joel Flores and his wife, Kathryn, of Visalia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, who all love him beyond measure. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Alton and Jacqueline King, of Exeter, CA
Lucas spent a great part of his childhood in Lemoore, CA where his parents managed a large apartment complex. He was always such a happy and loving child who never knew a stranger. Lucas made many friends throughout his childhood and always went to great effort to maintain those early relationships in all the years to come. He was known for his sweet spirit and great big smile that would brighten the hearts of everyone as soon as he entered the room.
Lucas began his career in retail sales, and through lots of hard work and dedication, he achieved great success. For the past ten years, he was District Sales Manager at Sketchers for several of their stores in San Jose and the surrounding area. He loved his job and was a highly motivated and devoted employee. He loved his team passionately and everyone that he supervised. He was always so proud of his team and loved them all as both friends and co-workers. He set exceptional examples and led with great enthusiasm, dedication and compassion. He loved working for Sketchers and they in turn loved him. The family would like to acknowledge and express their deep gratitude to Sketchers for their many kindnesses, compassion and understanding during the last two years of Lucas’ health struggles. They gave him a year’s leave of absence and a 10-year award while he was still on sick leave which Lucas treasured as one of his most prized possessions. Thank you to this great company for their faithful and unwavering love and support for Lucas. It meant the world to the family, and to Lucas.
Lucas loved spending time in the great outdoors and he loved nature. He was a hiking enthusiast and actually climbed to the top of the Hollywood sign! He loved going to the gym and doing his workouts. He has a very tender heart, a kind and gentle spirit and he is extremely generous to everyone; family, friends and acquaintances. He loved people, loved to socialize and always looked for the best in people. He adores his family and treasures his two sons beyond measure. He has a host of wonderful friends who love him dearly and he loves each and every one of them with his whole heart in return. When Lucas loves you, that love is eternal. Always and forever, no matter what!
Lucas was the life of any party or gathering; he was so full of life! He made everyone smile and laugh whenever he entered the room – even when times were hard for him, you would never know it, because he was such a delightful person and a joy to be around. To his great sadness, he searched for, but never quit found, the love of his life that he was looking for. He longed for a relationship with his Father God all the days of his life but couldn’t quite find Him, either. But in his last months upon this Earth, though all the pain, victories and setbacks, he finally found both through the loving mercies of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He had looked so forward to returning to Church when he was well enough where he could delight once again in the majesty of Pam James, the beautiful lady he called the “ultimate songstress”, who had become a voice for his soul. Now, after all the battles he fought with such intense faith and courage these past two years, we take great comfort in knowing that he rests eternally among the beautiful voices of a choir and angels.
This is the only way we knew to get a hold of some of his friends who may want to attend his services. We would like to keep the date and place private for specific reasons. If anyone would like to attend Lucas’ services, please reach out to Lucas; mom @Delighte Flores or his brother @Joel Flores and please do not post the date, time, or address or share it with anyone. You can let them k now to contact his mom or his brother if they would like to attend. Thank you so much for understanding. We are deeply heartbroken and just want everything to go by his and his sons’ wishes. Also Lucas’ mom would like to keep a memory book of everyone’s favorite memories of her son so if you would like to write a letter with some amazing memories you had with Lucas, she will have a basket that you can all put your letters in so that she can take them home and read them all. That would mean the world to her. Thank you all so much.
Officiating at Lucas’ service will be Pastor Henry Perez of Visalia, CA.
Lucas, our beloved darling, we know not how we will continue in this world without you. You were a ray of brightness in each and every life you touched. Although we can never say good-bye, we will say so long for now and rest in the hope that one day we will all be reunited and never again to be parted. Our lives will never be the same without you and we pray for that glorious day when all our sorrow will be turned into joy at last. We love you always and forever and beyond all measure. Good night, our sweet love, until that glorious morning comes at last.
“And God shall wipe all tears form their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
