Obituary:
Dale William Hevener, 79, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on January 13, 2025, in Visalia, California. Many of his family were able to visit him in his final days, sharing precious moments and their love.

Dale was born on September 2, 1945, in Cumberland, Maryland, to Paul Hunter Hevener and Rozella Hevener. From an early age, he exemplified a strong work ethic and an enduring love for his family and community.

In 1966, Dale was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country honorably as an artilleryman during the Vietnam War. His time in the military instilled a sense of duty and resilience that shaped his character for the rest of his life.

On November 23, 1966, Dale married Phyllis Clark at Farmersville Free Holiness Church. Together, they raised their family with love and dedication.

Dale worked as a Working Foreman for Worthington Paving for 30 years before transitioning to farming full-time. For the last 20 years, he poured his heart into his walnut farm, finding peace and fulfillment in the land he cultivated. He was also a helper at heart, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Though Dale wasn’t one to command attention in a crowd, he had a knack for one-on-one conversations. If he got you alone, he’d talk your ear off, sharing stories, wisdom, and his perspective on life. He had a deep love for John Wayne movies and took pride in working hard to provide for his family, who were his greatest treasure.

In the last few months of his life, Dale drew closer to God, finding faith and peace that gave him comfort and hope. His family takes solace in knowing that he will be reunited with his beloved Phyllis in Heaven.

Dale is survived by his son, Curtis Hevener (wife, Lily Hevener); his daughter, Kristen White; and his grandchildren: Cheryl Anderson (husband, Tim Anderson; their children: Elizabeth, Alexander, and Benjamin), Tyler Hevener (wife, Kelsey Hevener; their son, Theo), Alysa Hevener, Samuel White, and Roy White Jr. (wife, Maya White). He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Hevener and Roy Hevener; his sister, Iris Bull; and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis Hevener; his daughter, Diana Sease; and his brothers, Paul Hevener and Steve Hevener.
