Vicenta Hinojosa - age: 92
(January 21, 1933 to February 11, 2025 ) Resident of Farmersville, California Visitation Information: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 2-6 p.m. at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel in Exeter. Service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Praise Center Church at 503 N Floral St, Visalia, CA 93291 follow by the burial at the Exeter District Cemetery Obituary: Vicenta Hinojosa, also known by some as Chenta or Lady in Blue, passed away on February 11, 2025, at 92. Vicenta was born in Cárdenas, San Luis Potosi, in Mexico, on January 22, 1933, to Ysaac Moctezuma and Francisca Rivera Moctezuma. Vicenta grew up with seven siblings: Cleto, Aurello, Alberta, Ysaac, Teodoro, Josefina, and Andres. While living in Mexico, Vicenta graduated from high school, an achievement many did not accomplish at that time. Vicenta lived a life full of love with her family and friends. Vicenta married her husband, Vidal Hinojosa, on August 15, 1952. She was blessed with eight children: Manuela, Juan, Vidal Jr, Jose (Michelle), Mario (Maria), Armando, Roy, and Arturo. Vicenta inspired friends and family by demonstrating what hard work and dedication can accomplish. She worked daily to provide for her family, whether working in agricultural labor or at the local flea market. As an immigrant, she was proud to become a United States citizen and be given the opportunity to vote. She loved to spend time cooking for her family, tending to her flowers, and going to yard sales. Vicenta attended Iglesia Centro Alabanza and their women’s bible study for over three decades. The relationships she built at church would bring lifelong friendships. Vicenta is preceded by her husband, Vidal Hinojosa, and daughter Manuela Hinojosa. She is survived by her children, Juan, Vidal Jr, Jose (Michelle), Mario (Maria), Armando, Roy, and Arturo. She is survived by her sibling Josefina (Pina). She is survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Viewing Service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. at Evans Miller Guinn Exeter Chapel in Exeter. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, 12:00 p.m., at Praise Center Church (503 N Floral St, Visalia, CA 93291). The service will be followed by the burial at Exeter District Cemetery.
