Obituary:
Catherine Inez Ferguson passed away on April 9, 2025 in Gig Harbor, WA. She was
born on January 8, 1938 in Hot Springs, AR to Arthur and Callie Graves. The family
later moved to Farmersville where she lived for the majority of her life. In 1958 she met
and married Dillard Ferguson. Together they had 3 sons, Doug, Dennis, and Deric.
Inez did all she could, sometimes working 3 jobs, to raise her boys in a manner that she
could be proud of. For all of those who went to Farmersville schools in the 70’s, 80’s
and 90’s, she is remembered as the cook that treated you just like you were one of her
own.
Retiring after 25 years, Inez later moved to Gig Harbor to be closer to her sons. She
spent the remainder of her days enjoying her property and feeding the local deer. She
also enjoyed gardening, following her friends and family on Facebook, back porch
sitting and baking (there was always a corner missing from where she had sampled the
finished product).
She lived a long, productive and God centered life and, as was her way, she left us
exactly how she said she had wanted to.
