Obituary:
The best example and best father anyone could have-Sherman Jim Pearson, age 64, passed away at Kaweah Delta hospital in Visalia, CA on August 1st, 2025 from a cardiac arrest due to diabetes.

Jim established a career in construction as a roofer, builder and contractor while also being a martial arts instructor after moving to Exeter from Los Angeles about thirty years ago. He lived his middle and later life dedicated to his Christian faith and supporting his family.

Jim’s interests were football, cars and trucks, and he always enjoyed history. His favorite colors were blue, black, and white; while his favorite foods were chile con carne with rice and spaghetti. These are all now our cherished memories of Jim.

“My dad was honest, generous, and hard working, but my favorite quality was that he never gave up no matter what challenges life threw at him. He had many lessons and memories to share with me these past few years, which is how I really got to know the greatest man and warrior in life I had ever known.” -Kayla (Jim's oldest daughter)

“Every conversation always came around to Jesus. He could talk about anything: sports, cars, politics, but he could spend all of his time talking about Jesus and never get tired of it.” Also, “He told me he was proud of me, even when I doubted myself, he was encouraging and understanding.”-Audrey (Jim's youngest daughter)

Jim is survived by his daughters Kayla and Audrey Pearson, his younger sisters Raquel Pearson and Noemi Gardner; his cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Padron.

Jim's kindness, generosity and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
