Born on September 9, 1986, to Audie and Meri Smith, Cait grew up alongside her three brothers—Brandon, Dustin, and Jason—forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. She went on to marry the love of her life, Steven Thompson, and together they built a beautiful family, raising two cherished sons, Kipton and Trace. For the past decade, Cait dedicated her heart and talents to the Exeter Unified School District, where she served as the District School Nurse. Known for her compassion, steady presence, and warm smile, she touched countless lives—students, families, and colleagues alike. Cait’s greatest joy came from time spent with her family, whether cheering at her boys’ activities, sharing laughter around the dinner table, or enjoying quiet moments at home. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, strength, and the love she poured into those around her. She is survived by her husband, Steven Thompson; her sons, Kipton and Trace; her parents, Audie and Meri Smith; and her brothers, Brandon, Dustin, and Jason Smith. Cait’s legacy of love, service, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
