Obituary:
Penny Renee Adams was born October 31st, 1962, in Visalia, California, to Kenneth and Carolyn Cheek. On November 9th, 2025, as she was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, she was reunited with her beloved parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. The youngest of four sisters, she grew up in Ivanhoe surrounded by family and love. At the young age of eleven, at her sister’s wedding, she met the love of her life, Michael. Years later they would be engaged, and she would graduate early from Redwood High School, in 1980, to marry and start a family. Being a wife, mother and “Nana” were her greatest joys in life. She poured every ounce of love that she had into her children and grandchildren, often telling them that they were her greatest accomplishments in life. Never knowing a stranger, she loved hearing about the lives of those she had just met, eager to swap stories about kids, grandkids, and life experiences. Penny leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Mike; her son Michael and wife Alana; her daughter Jennifer and husband Blaine, and her two grandsons, Ryan and Eric. She is also survived by her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley & Terry Atkins of Exeter, Linda & David Lake of Visalia, and Sharon & Manuel Briano of Hanford; her sister-in-law Sharon Blankenbaker of Visalia, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly. Although our lives will never be the same without her with us, her smile, her laugh, and the love she gave so freely lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
