Obituary:
Alvin Eugene “Gene” Taylor was born in Exeter, CA October 20, 1949, to Alvin Walter Taylor and Elizabeth “Louvina” Bailey and passed away on January 20, 2026. Gene was a graduate from Exeter Union High School in 1967. Gene worked for over 30 years at Exeter-Ivanhoe Citrus in Exeter until he retired. He loved his hobby of raising goldfish and was a member of the Goldfish Society of America. Gene is preceded in death by his father Alvin and his mother Louvina. Gene is survived by his wife of over 54 years Patricia “Patty” Taylor, his two sons Brad Taylor and wife Trudy and Jonathan Taylor. Three grandchildren, Kiara Castenada and husband Ryan, Kendrick Ragsdale and wife Madison and Kassidy Taylor. Four great-grandchildren Tori, Kamelia, Kaeda, and Austin. Gene is also survived by his brother Allen Box and sister Annette Box. Gene will be remembered and missed as a husband, a Dad, as Grandpa Gene and Great Grandpa Gene.
