Gordon Allen Wood - age: 72
(October 03, 1953 to March 18, 2026 ) Resident of Exeter, California Visitation Information: In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to the Open Arms House, 3234 West Iris, Visalia CA 93277 in his name for the love and care they provided to him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Strathmore Full Gospel AG Church, 19570 Orangebelt Drive, Strathmore, CA. Obituary: Gordon Allen Wood of Exeter was born in Russellville AR on October 3, 1953 to William and Carmelita (Earwood) Wood. He passed away on March 18, 2026 in Visalia CA at the age of 72. Gordon, along with his brother Mike, moved to Exeter in 1968 and lived with their grandmother. He graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1972. He worked as a Production Control Manager for over 11 years. He was a member of the Strathmore Full Gospel AG Church for many years. He loved to sing with the Worship Team at church and played Mad Dash with his friends. Gordon is preceded in death by his brother Mark Hill. Gordon is survived by two daughters, Michelle Wood Leyvas (Joseph) of Exeter and Stephanie Gomez (Sergio) of Visalia; one brother Mike Wood (Sherry) of Torrance CA; two sisters Pam Roberts (Tony) of Palas Verdes CA and Bridget Whiteside (Terry) of Loxley, AL. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as many friends that will miss him.
