Twila Colleen Allred - age: 93
(October 09, 1932 to April 15, 2026 ) Resident of Visalia, California Visitation Information: A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 1st at 10:00am at the Exeter Cemetary. A lunch reception will follow at the CACHE Museum at 125 South B Street in Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Pink Ladies of Exeter, 118 South E Street, Exeter, California 93221, in her honor. Obituary: Twila Colleen Allred, passed away at the age of 93 in Visalia, California on April 15, 2026. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Twila was born on October 9, 1932 in La Plata, Missouri. She spent her formative years in Kirksville, Missouri surrounded by her large and loving family. She was educated in Kirkville and then attended Northeast Missouri State University. It was in junior high school where she met the love of her life, Larry Allred. After college they married and spent several years in Missouri before making the big move to California in 1960 to start a new adventure. They started a family and she dedicated her life to caring for her family while also working in accounting for various medical offices. They loved being together, traveling and playing golf. She sadly lost Larry in June of 2002. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a cherished grandmother. Family was always her first priority. As a grandmother, “Nana” took great joy in watching her family grow and delighted in time spent with her grandchildren. Apart from family, she dedicated herself to the support of the Pink Ladies Thrift store in Exeter which supports the greater Exeter community. She was also a docent at the CACHE Gallery in Exeter and was a long-time member of the Exeter Canasta Club. During the last few years of her life, she relocated to the Quail Park at Shannon Ranch community in Visalia where she met many new friends and was so grateful for the loving care from all the staff. She is survived by her sons Kelly Allred (Maggie) and Chad Allred (Andria) and her grandchildren, Charlie Allred, Mollie Allred, Taylor Allred Lino and Emma Allred. She also survived by her siblings Gaylene Turner, Ron Mikel, Terry Mikel and Marla Goring. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Allred and her siblings Donna Emmert, Jay Mikel, Gary Mikel and Sherry Ragsdale.
