Obituary:
Inoel Xander Cruz, age 17, was lovingly reunited with the Lord on June 26, 2026, in Woodlake, California, after a lifelong battle with ROHHAD Syndrome. He was born in Visalia, California, on January 13, 2009, to his proud parents, Joe and Aileen (Diaz) Cruz.
Inoel would have been entering his senior year at Exeter Unified School District, where he touched the hearts of countless classmates, teachers, and staff. His smile was contagious, and his joy for life radiated through simple acts of kindness—holding the door open for classmates, offering high fives as they walked into class, and greeting everyone with warmth. Teachers described him as smart, funny, sweet, and respectful, and throughout his younger years he received many Teacher Choice Awards recognizing his character and spirit.
He loved playing Uno and other board games, was an avid reader, and enjoyed writing stories. His dream was to become an author after graduation, a goal that reflected both his imagination and his determination.
He leaves behind his loving parents, Joe and Aileen, and his beloved younger brother, Eden. He is also held in memory by grandparents Francisco Diaz, Leticia Diaz, and Rosa Jurado, and by a large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.
His life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and a gentle spirit that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Inoel’s life was a gift. His kindness was a lesson. His memory is a blessing.
