Obituary:
Nelda Fay Rogers passed away on September 12, 2026 at her home in Visalia, California at the age of 87. She was born on June 3, 1939 in Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas. Her parents are Argrie Reen Hodge and Ralph Fay Rainey. Her family moved to Farmersville, California in the early 1950s and Nelda attended Exeter High School. She married Carl Crawford in 1955 and had two sons, Danny Carl Crawford and Douglas Dean Crawford. In 1972 she married John Russell Rogers and together they opened Rogers Garage. Russ passed away in 2009. Nelda was employed by Sprague Electric in Visalia for 8 years then began working at Sequoia Voting System in Exeter where she remained employed until the plant closed. She was a hard worker and was respected by her fellow employees for her work ethics. After her retirement, she loved to work in her flower beds, have yard sales and go to the casino. She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Argrie Rainey, her sister Wanda Jean Steinhoff, her husband Russ Rogers and her son Danny Crawford. She is survived by her son Doug Crawford (Betty Ann), her grandchildren Brandi Ross (Dominic) and Shane Crawford (Jenny), great grandchildren Dalton Ross and Emma Crawford. Her family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for the care and compassion they gave Nelda during the past several weeks.
