Visitation Information:
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be in the Tulare District Cemetery.

Obituary:
John was born to Juan O. and Ramona Castaneda on January 27, 1931 in Brawley CA. He passed away in Visalia, CA on January 23, 2013 at the age of 81.
John came to Hanford at the age of 12 where he was raised. He met and then married Josephine Arevalo in Hanford on January 12, 1950. They made their home in Hanford and move to Farmersville in 1952. He worked for Waterman’s Industries as a bench grinder and warehouseman until his retirement. He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He also loved his trips to the many casinos. John was preceded in death by a son, John Castaneda Jr.; his parents; two brothers Joe Castaneda and Ernie Castaneda; and one sister Ampara Hernandez.
John is survived by his wife Josephine Castaneda of Farmersville; two sons Pete (Sue) Castaneda of WA and Robert (Rosario) Castaneda of Exeter; one daughter Rosemary (Don) Hartman of Visalia; one brother George Castaneda of San Bernardino; one sister Phylis Romero of San Bernardino. John is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
