Maria Bravo Cortez - age: 74
(July 10, 1938 to February 05, 2013 ) Resident of Visalia, California Visitation Information: Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel from 2:00 to 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Mass will be said on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Visalia. Burial will be in the Exeter District Cemetery. Obituary: My mother, Maria came to California from Mexico in the mid to late 60’s. She was born in Michoacán Mexico on July 10, 1938. She worked in Los Angeles in the sewing industry for over 25 years. Maria loved her family get togethers and music. She was a very strong lady, raising three boys by herself and was the pillar to the family. She was a great cook and loved to cook. She was a great mother, grandmother, aunt and person. She will be missed very much. She loved to fix her grand kids clothes with her sewing machines and did all needed alterations to her own clothes. She spoke the truth weather you liked it or not. She was and will always be my beloved mother. Maria is survived by two sons, Marcial Rivera Bravo and Edel Casares Brovo; five grandchildren Jazmine Rivera, Samantha Rivera, Sergio Manuel Rivera, Stephanie Rivera and Kristian Cesares; one great grandchild Benjamin Cruz Zamaripa. She is also survived by three sisters, 7 brothers and was loved by lots of nephews and family.
