Mervin Jake Nofziger - age: 89
(June 14, 1924 to November 12, 2013 ) Resident of Exeter, California Visitation Information: At Jake’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Exeter Golf Course, 510 West Visalia Road, Exeter CA 93221 in Jakes name for a bench in his honor. Obituary: Jake was born on June 14, 1924 to Alfred and Mary (Garber) Nofziger in Stryker OH, one of thirteen children. He married the former Constance Kaczmark on April 22, 1945 in San Francisco, CA. After living in Colma for many years, they move to Tulare County in 1970. He drove the Woodlake Unified School Bus for over 12 years. Jake loved his golfing as well as many other sports. He was a San Francisco 49’er Fan. While living in Woodlake, he was the starter of the Woodlake Rodeo Parade for many years. In later years, he and Constance have lived in Exeter. Jake is survived by his wife of 68 years, Constance of Exeter; one son Jim (Judy) Nofziger of Pacifica; one daughter Linda (Bill) Humphreys of Woodlake; one brother William (Donna) Nofziger of Ohio; three sisters, Virginia Rhoades of Ohio, Phyllis Vergith and Marie Armstrong both of Florida. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
