Our family (the children of Glenn & Clemmie Lambert) are saddened to hear of the passing of Aunt Nereus. Most of our memories of her are from stories Daddy told us. One was that her name came from the Bible and was originally a man's name. Daddy showed it to me once, but I can't remember the chapter and verse right now. During the last few years of my parents' lives, I would help them send Christmas cards. Daddy always wanted me to put a book of stamps into the one for Aunt Nereus so that it would be easy for her to write to him. He treasured any and all correspondence from his sisters in California! I have a photo of Aunt Nereus with her brothers and Aunt Bytha (but not Aunt Lizzie). I will be happy to send a copy to the family if you email me addresses. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We still miss Daddy and Mama so much. Daddy passed on in 2004 (age 90) and Mama in 2005 (age 100). We know from experience that you will always miss your parents, but we pray that your memories of Aunt Nereus and Uncle Victor will bring you comfort in the days ahead. God bless you all. Sorry to hear about Aunt Nereus. At 93, she was the last of our "older" generation as far as I know. Her brother, Glen Lambert was my Dad. He passed away in September 2006 at the age of 90. My wife, LaNell, and I wish to send the family our love and prayers from Dumas, Arkansas. Thanks Carolyn & Don for calling and letting us know, and to Larry, Judy, Vicki, Jim and families, May God Bless and Keep you in all HIS Glory!!
