Emma Cottonwood - age: 79
(April 08, 1936 to October 05, 2015 ) Resident of Three Rivers, California Visitation Information: At her request, there will be no services. Obituary: Em L. Cottonwood was born in Hamilton Ohio to Ardie and Mittie (Dermon) Burk on April 8, 1936. She passed away in Visalia CA on October 5, 2015 at the age of 79. She attended schools in Hamilton Ohio. After High School she attended Beauty School and became a Beautician. She worked in many places for over 20 years. Em married Charles Cottonwood on June 16, 1969 in Gold Field, NV. They settled in Three Rivers in 1974 after being stationed in several National Parks with her husband. She loved to golf and fish. She was a member of the Lady Anglers Three Rivers Fishing Club. She also quilted items for local kids. She is preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and three brothers. Em is survived by her husband Charles Cottonwood of Three Rivers; one adopted son Jack Finley of Three Rivers; one brother Orville M. Burk of Fairfield Ohio; two sisters Betty J. Stable of Orlando Florida and Lola M. Wooten and husband Walt of Ventura, CA and one granddaughter Iizabella Finley of Three Rivers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Em will be missed by all of her family and friends.
