Jesse B. Peterson - age: 85
(June 17, 1930 to November 02, 2015 ) Resident of Visalia, California Visitation Information: Private Services were held in the Exeter District Cemetery. Obituary: Jesse Bernell Peterson, age 85, passed away peacefully Monday November 2, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born June 17, 1930 in Winters, Texas to proud parents Willie and Jessie Peterson. When the family came out west in the early 1930s they lived in McFarland CA where he attended high school and played sports. At 17, Jesse opted to join the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. Jesse met the love of his life Martina Flora McKnight and They were married December 9, 1952. He was an avid fisherman, and hunter in his younger years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his three daughters Lori Newby and husband Jimmy, Ginny Edgeworth, and Julie Mcmillan all of Bakersfield., Son Alan Peterson and wife Terry of Visalia. He is also survived by his brother Dr. Wilbur Peterson and wife Anita of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Jesse was a grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
