Betty J. Fairchlld - age: 80
(September 18, 1936 to January 24, 2017 ) Resident of Visalia, California Visitation Information: Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 17th at 2 PM at the Exeter District Cemetery. A memorial service will follow. Obituary: Betty J. Fairchild passed from this life on Tuesday, January 24th, surrounded by family at her Visalia home following a short illness. Betty was born Betty Jean Morrow in Grayson County, Sherman, Texas on September 18th 1936 to Dollie Morrow and Thomas Rutherford. Betty lived in various states around the country before moving to California in 1953 where she met her husband of 62 years, Jacob Fairchild, at Sequoia Drive-In Theater. He fell in love with her immediately, and the two were married on August 7th, 1953. Jacob was a farm worker and Betty was a house wife and mother while her two sons were growing up. She later worked and retired from Lindsay Olive where she did quality control. She is survived by her husband, Jacob, her two sons, Bob and Michael, and granddaughters Emily, Adrienne, and Summer, as well as so many other friends and family members who will love and miss her dearly. She was a shining star.
