Graveside Services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Tulare District Cemetery. A Celebration on Life will follow at the Tulare United Methodist Church, 228 West Kern Street, Tulare at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tulare United Methodist Church, 228 West Kern Street, Tulare CA 93274 or to the charity of your choice.

Obituary:
Chester Everett Jackson, age 96, passed away January 31, 2018. He was born January 30, 1922 in Wichita Kansas to Andrew Everett and Alwine (Winter) Jackson. He came to California with his parents and sister at the age of 12.
He graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1940 and from Woodbury Commercial College of Los Angeles in 1943. Chester served in the US Army during WW II. For 38 years he was a cake salesman and retired in October 1982. For several years following his retirement he was an employee for Goble Miller Funeral Home and Miller Memorial Chapels until his stroke in 2007. He was a member of the Tulare United Methodist Church, a 60+ year member of Olive Branch Lodge #269 F&AM of Tulare and one of its Past Masters. He is preceded in death by both parents, his sister Rosa Jackson and his son David Jackson.
Chester is survived by his wife of 48 years Carol, one son Stephen Jackson (Charlotte); one daughter Julie Walker (Sam); four grandchildren, Ileah Contreras (Mike), Calvin Jackson (Megan), Timothy and Amber Walker. He is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
