Obituary:
Lottie Stiltz, 91 of Lindcove passed away February 22 at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born November 10, 1926 in Bakerton, Kentucky to James and Alice Baker. She was one of six siblings – Charlie Baker, James Baker, Thelma Baker (Spillman), Nita Baker (Moody) and Dott Baker (Stroud). She attended Albany High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Lottie obtained her teaching credential and taught school for several years before relocating to California, Lottie married the late Fred Stiltz. Together they raised five children. She began working in Exeter area packing houses in the mid 1960’s until retiring in the early 1990’s. She also spent 50 years farming the family orange grove and was hands on involved from irrigation to harvest. Besides raising her own children she was a motherly figure to many nieces and nephews and other children in the community. Lottie was passionate about visiting and caring for friends and family. Her greatest passion in life though were her children and grandchildren whom she dearly loved and nurtured. Lottie was widowed in 1990 and preceded in death by her son Jack in 2009. She will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, son Jim Stiltz of Baltimore, Maryland, daughter Suzanne Morris and husband Tim of Lemon Cove, son Dan and wife Susan of Easton and daughter Sally Clark of Lemon Cove, Grandchildren Alicia Gaither, Maya Stiltz, Tyler Stiltz, Kaile Morris, Calvin, James and Sophia Clark. Eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter named Lottie! A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lemon Cove Community Church.
